Turkey’s leading healthcare institution Acıbadem Healthcare Group, provides extensive healthcare sevices with state-of-art medical technology since 1991. Acıbadem, operates with nearly 6000 employees of which over 1000 are physicians, in 20 different locations through a network of 6 general hospitals, 5 outpatient clinics, 1 opthalmology center, medical centers and laboratories.

It is an internationally accredited healthcare group located in central regions of Turkey, mostly in the beautiful city of Istanbul. Acıbadem, with its current investments and expanding its healthcare chain continuously, has reached a total of 36 operating rooms and a 717-bed capacity being run on 105.000 sqm. Growing rapidly, 7 new hospitals will be added to the Group in the very near future.

Quality Standards

Acıbadem is the first health institution in Turkey to receive accreditation by Joint Commission International (JCI) as a group represented as a model for quality in healthcare. From its hospitals to polyclinics, all institutions of the Acıbadem Healthcare Group have been qualified to receive JCI accreditation which symbolizes quality in healthcare.

Acıbadem has been a member of EFQM (European Foundation For Quality Management) since 2002 as the only Turkish Health Service Provider.Acıbadem Hospital as well as our Laboratory and Central Sterilization units are accredited by ISO 9001:2000. Acıbadem Labmed (our central laboratory services) has achieved “ISO 15189” “Quality Certificate” which is the highest accreditation certificate in the world, for laboratory services.

Accreditation provides a visible commitment by an organization to improve the quality of patient care, to ensure a safe environment and to continuously work to reduce risks to patients and staff.

Thanks to many committees and boards of Acıbadem, an internal auditing mechanism has been establised; and through in-company trainings the continuity in quality and perfection has been achieved.

International Affiliation

Cooperation with Harvard Medical International
Acıbadem is affiliated with ‘Harvard Medical International’ since 2003, which is a world famous institution in terms of medical education and services that enables sharing of knowledge expertise and technology as well as enhancing the education and training of professional staff. Through this cooperation's knowledge and technological sharing, patients can receive the same treatment protocols and technologies in Turkey without travelling outside the country.

Harvard Medical Institution was established in 1994, with the aim of welcoming the international partnership requests received by Harvard Medical School and Harvard University. Harvard Medical International is utilizing the accumulated knowledge of the 8,000 faculty members, 17 education hospitals and institutions of Harvard Medical School. Harvard Medical International leads innovations and changes in knowledge, actively and has a wide range of healthcare resources in the global environment.

Public Offering

Acıbadem made a public offering of its shares in year 2000 and with its proficiency, turned to new investments for the increase of its capacity. Today Acıbadem is the only healthcare institution whose shares are traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB).

Advanced Technology and Information Systems Network
While providing leadership in the field of new knowledge and procedures of medical science and following the latest developments of medical technology at close range, Acıbadem maintains an effective communication system within its network by the ''Hospital Information Communication System'' where all the medical records of patients are stored. Acibadem employs an advanced Visual Transfer System wiithin or between the hospitals.

Genetic Diagnosis Center
The Genetic Diagnosis Center, which offers genetic services in a most coordinated way and closely follows the latest scientific research, possesses modern equipment known as the ''gold standard'' in the world, together with professional personnel and know-how.

Activities
Monitoring the latest developments and research at close range and acting with a pioneering mission and full responsibility, Acıbadem has been organizing weekly and monthly scientific seminars and widely attended conferences with in-company and quest speakers.

Countless healthcare activities; from health screenings to preparation for delivery courses, from first aid courses to diabetes training programs, from healthcare talk-shows to a smoke-free life, breast feeding and baby care, training of heart patients before and after surgery programs; are being realized by the Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

Acıbadem Education and Healthcare Foundation
Acıbadem Healthcare Group has taken an important step forward in terms of healthcare Education; it has been recently approved by the Ministry of Education to open its own Academic University which will be the first to be established in Turkey by a Health Group. It is currently run and known as Acıbadem Education and Healthcare Foundation.
