CAREER

He studied vitreoretinal surgery in Dallas, USA during part of his specialty education.

In 1992, he brought to Turkey Laser Myopic Surgery. The latest developed form of this system started to be applied in Turkey for the first time. The first tool in the world named Technolas 116 he bought then is currently in Turkey.

From 1992 when he started to use laser, he provided training in all the congresses and courses in the world and contributed in the development of this technology.

From 1992 until today, he administered more than 30.000 laser therapies.

He is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association since 1981.

He was appointed as the secretary of ‘TOA Refractive Surgery Unit’ founded in 1999.

In addition to the Turkish Ophthalmology Association, he is also members of ‘American Academy of Ophthalmology’ , ‘International Society of Refractive Surgery’, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery’ , American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery’ and Societe Française d’Ophtalmologie’.

He particularly studies Laser and Cataract surgery.

From 1992 until today, he participated in nearly 50 international congresses, symposiums, roundtables and courses.

He wrote a postgraduate specialty book named ‘Myopia Therapy’ in 2002.
