Joint Commission International (JCI) is an international accreditation assessment model with the highest level of accreditation. It carries out independent assessments in order to determine whether the healthcare organizations meet a series of standard requirements which are designed to elevate the quality levels of healthcare.

As part of the Joint Commission that carries out international activities, having accredited more than 19.000 healthcare institutions in the US and as the world’s largest accreditor, JCI has accredited and certified more than 600 public and private healthcare organizations in 51 countries worldwide to date, following the development of internationally adoptable standards. The hospital accreditation program, which Acıbadem Healthcare Group also has been issued with, has been designed to evaluate all the functions of the hospitals. JCI standards are collected under 14 main headings including patient oriented and healthcare institution management standards.
